I do not like reading books, so I do not have any European author that I particularly like. However I do like Greek myth, I know that Greek myth does not have author and it may not count as European literature, but as a Roman religion. I love how each telescope has story in the back. Also I like how Zeus has relationship with female and makes Hera mad, and she turns all the female that had relationship with Zeus into telescope.

  2. There are too many authors of my choices at the moment however, considering the tastes of others, I think that Alexandre Dumas would be a great author to discuss. Dumas is a French writer who is most famous for The Three Musketeers and The Count of Monte Cristo. He is very famous for his adventure novels and I am very disappointed to not have read any of his works. My parents and grandparents have told me so much about Dumas' stories, and now I think it would be a great time for me, and hopefully others, to take on his works.

  4. Out of many famous european authors such as Shakespeare, George Eliot, and so on. My personal farovite autoher would be George Oewell and his book "1984". believing in democratic socialism he had an intense opposition towards totalitarianism, therefore, "1984" presented a society that he would not be satisfied to live in.

  7. First of all, I like to read books but then I do not really focus on the author's name so I do not know many of authors, specially Europeans. Since I had to find a book and author I do not know, I did some research and came out with this author named Alvtengen karin. The reason I picked him out of many European authors is most of books he wrote had very interesting titles. Such as 'Missing','Betrayal','Shame' and 'Shadow'. I have this strong feeling that those books would have stories that I would like.
    This is HR.

  8. I don't really know many European authors but I'm interested in reading novels from Shakespeare. He was a English poet and was one of the greatest writer in the English language. I personally want to read "Hamlet" because in past three years in HIS I haven't read Shakespeare's tragedy stories like "Hamlet" and I thought it would be a great chance to take a look on tragedy story written by European author.

  9. I chose Charles Dickens because he was the most famous author in Victorian era, and his background was made me being interested his novel, and he wrote many different novel, but it was all about his life, his family was very rich, but his father was always spend money in the wrong way, so it change his life a lot. When I was young I read one of his novel Oliver Twist, I couldn’t really understand what he trying to tell us, but it was really interested, and he has one more novel I am really interested, A tale Of Two Cities, the two cites was Paris and London, which is the place he went his later life, so I am really interested about that.

I don’t like reading books so I don’t really know any European authors but once in literature class, I read the book call Night by Elie Wiesel, and I enjoyed it. It was a really cruel story based on the deaths of many Jews. It was the first time I learned about the holocaust and the Jewish persecutions; this surprised me. Overall, I am interested in reading these types of books, I like learning about history through fictions.

  12. I would like to read a book thats in a genre of mystery. Author does not really matter for me much. I never really focused on authors before. Honestly speaking, I haven't read enough books to even mention about authors. So probably all authors will be new for me.

  13. To be honest, I didn't do much reading in my life except for literature class. So to me, I don't really care who the author is for a book, so as long as the book can motivate me to keep on reading. For example, The Book Thief was one of the book that makes me keep on reading. I guess I like books that are involved with some mythology.

Though if I had to choose I would like to read more books by Markus Zusak. Also books from JK Rowling who wrote Harry Potter or just books everybody can relate to in life.

  16. I would like to read some books by George Orwell, especially 1984. Many people said 1984 is an amazing book, which predicts what 1984 would be like. There are also many quotes from him, such as "Big Brother is watching you" and "As with the Christian religion, the worst advertisement for Socialism is its adherents". I haven't read books written by him, but reading his books would help me understand many different people's perspectives of governments, from 1984.

I've always loved reading Roald Dahl books since I was little.
I love his style of writing, and he is so creative. His writing also maches Quentin Blake's unique drawing.
I would love to read his books, although his books are kind of too "elementary".

  20. One of my favorite author in Europe is Shakespeare. This is because when i read his play which was Romeo and Juliet, it was interested. The style of the sentences were old but the contents of the story was really good. I was touched how much both of them loved each other. He also wrote other stories and plays so whenever I have a free time i want to read them.
